Sports MassageSports Massage I 8 Continuing Education October 30th, 2010 9am-6pm Register: Are you ready to take your client’s massage therapy session to the next level? This course offers you a variety of techniques that will help you assess, understand and treat your client’s complaints of past injuries, chronic and acute pain syndromes. Learn a simple and effective model of assessment and treatment. Establishing a plan of care also will be discussed. Topics include theory and application of Pre and Post-event Sports Massage, Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF), Therapeutic Stretching, Deep Tissue and Trigger Point techniques.
Sports Massage II with Lucy Teixeira, L.M.T., C.P.Ti. 28 Continuing Education Credits This course explores specific treatments of common musculo-skeletal and orthopedic conditions most appropriately and effectively managed by licensed massage therapists. Restorative and rehabilitative sports massage, including integrated deep tissue, structural bodywork and sports specific stretching will be emphasized during this seventy-percent hands on course. This 28-hour course will be divided into upper extremity and lower extremity coursework. The class will allow you to incorporate the new information into your practice and benefit from organized mentoring by the Sports Massage II Team.
