Experts estimate that as many as 80% of the population will experience a back problem at some time in our lives. This class will focus on the many competing forces that pull on the pelvis and how they contribute to lower back pain. By recognizing interconnected fascial planes, we discover how the pain is often at a distant point from the problem.
With a detailed anatomy review, students learn to identify a posterior/anterior tilt of the pelvis, addressing musculature to include: Quadratus Lumborum, Iliopsoas, Rectus Femoris, Plantar fascia and the Hamstrings. Students will learn Deep Tissue techniques and stretching exercises to implement immediately into their practice

Unlocking Computer Shoulder
Cost: $149
7 Continuing Education hours
Our practices are full of clients seeking relief from jobs where habitual computer use is required and often exasperated by additional hours “surfing the web.” As therapists, we recognize the prevalence of postural distortion and pain patterns associated with computer use. This class focuses on unwinding the cumulative effects of these conditions.
Students will learn:
- techniques to address kyphosis, medial rotations, and forward head posture
- the relationship between facilitated and inhibited musculature
- to recognize myofascial stress lines in clients
- to empower clients with guidelines for improved ergonomics
Top Ten Trigger Points for Orthopedic Conditions
9:30-5:30 $149.00
Instructor: Eric Stephenson, LMT, NCTMB
Observing a trigger point chart with its anatomical detail can be overwhelming! Trying
to locate and treat them adds to the frustration. This course works with common
orthopedic conditions (frozen shoulder, back strains, plantar fasciitis and more) to
observe agonist/antagonist muscle relationships, focusing on the cause rather than the
effect of pain. By learning to work with trigger points of facilitated (shortened)
musculature, the opposing inhibited (lengthened) musculature can be released, alleviating
the presenting location of pain. Learn palpation and communication skills to work “with”
a client’s trigger points rather than “on” them. Visit www.imassageinc.com for more
details.
