$605 if registered by August 7, 2010
$653 if registered after August 7, 2010

This course is designed to give you an understanding of how the craniosacral system contains the core of the human energy system. It presents the three cornerstones of cranial work: tracking fluid tide, facilitating stillpoints, and working with shapes and patterns of resistance. Students will develop practical techniques for working with the primary core energy, palpate cerebrospinal fluid, increase potency, facilitate stillpoints using traditional osteopathic skills for patterns of resistance, and enhancing healing intelligence throughout the whole system.

In this two day class, students will receive training and gain understanding regarding the sinus system of the body, palpation skills will be developed to sense pressures held with the thoracic and cranial cavities. Insights will be given and techniques taught to open these systems so the body can once again function in a manner congruent to its design and capabilities. A systematic technique will be taught, practiced and mastered so that the innate ability of the system can be balanced to open the bronchial cavity for breath and fluid exchange. The student will be given the tools needed to alleviate congestion, sinus headaches, pressure from fluid congestion in the head and other conditions brought about environmental as well as conditions carried from birth.

Cranial-Somatic Therapy II: Palpation, Presence, and Being
with Dave Nowack, R.P.P., C.S.T., D.H.H., R.M., R.C.S.T.
32 Continuing Education Credits

Open to the Public - Prerequisite: Cranial-Somatic Therapy I with Dave Nowack.

This course deepens the fundamental skills introduced in level one. Students will work with all of the different tides, dynamic stillness, different levels of stillness, resourcing through the midtide in conjunction with the CRI level to help the body reorganize held patterns. Students will develop a more precise understanding of different structural and fluid motions in order to become more confident, sensitive, and present in their practice.

Cranial-Somatic Therapy III: Body Architecture & the Craniosacral System

Open to the Public - Prerequisite: Cranial-Somatic Therapy I with Dave Nowack.

The foundation of this course is body structure and how it relates to the craniosacral system. The cranial system is considered the core of the human being, and all functions of the body have an important relationship to it. This course focuses on membrane functioning, bony relationships to the cranial system, and structural balance. You will increase your skills in noticing patterns of resistance in the system and develop new ways to work with those toward resolution.

Cranial-Somatic Therapy IV: Cranial Base Patterns & Whole Body Dynamics
with Dave Nowack, R.P.P., C.S.T., D.H.H., R.M., R.C.S.T.
32 Continuing Education Credits

Open to the Public - Prerequisite: Cranial-Somatic Therapy I with Dave Nowack

Students must attend both weekends:
October 24th & 25th, and November 7th & 8th

Cost: $560

Students will explore the primacy of cranial base patterns and their effects on the whole body dynamics. We will examine, in particular, the motion dynamics and tissue patterns of the spheno-basilar junction, the reciprocal tension membrane, and the importance of the sacrum and the pelvic basin.

The cranial base has powerful relationships with rest of the body. This leads into working with whole body connective tissue patterns and primary energy relationships throughout the body.

Cranial-Somatic Therapy V: The Spine, Dura, Ventricles, and Spaces
with Dave Nowack, R.P.P., C.S.T., D.H.H., R.M., R.C.S.T.
32 Continuing Education Credits

Open to the Public - Prerequisite: Cranial-Somatic Therapy I with Dave Nowack

Students must attend both weekends:
Date and Times to be Announced Cost: $560

This class focuses on the Central Nervous System, its motility and factors that affect it. We will cover vertebral work, connective tissue relationships, the condition of the cerebrospinal fluid in its relationship to the CNS, and venous sinus drainage to reduce fluid stasis and revitalize the living system.

Cranial-Somatic Therapy VI: Visceral Work & Energetic Embryonic Patterns
with Dave Nowack, R.P.P., C.S.T., D.H.H., R.M., R.C.S.T.
32 Continuing Education Credits

Open to the Public - Prerequisite: Cranial-Somatic Therapy I with Dave Nowack

Students must attend both weekends:
June 13th & 14th, and June 27th and 28th
Cost: $560

This class explores embryonic development patterns in the internal organs. Early development is reflected by the motility of the organs in this moment. We can palpate organ motility, learn the relationship of cranio-sacral motion, and help to resolve patterns that may immobilize organ motility and affect he function of the organ. Connective tissue impingements play an important part in organ function. In regards to this visceral approach, we will explore: motility and mobility; diaphragmatic and facial relationships; vertebral attachments; dural tube connections; nerve facilitation; entrapped force vectors; energy relationships; and psycho-emotional issues.
